Description
Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, and Berkshire West Integrated Care Board (BOB ICB) serve a population of over 1.8 million across three large and diverse counties.
The Integrated Urgent Care service across BOB is free to call or contact through NHS 111 and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with a personalised contact service when
patients:
• Need medical help fast, but it"s not a 999 emergency.
• Don"t know who to call for medical help.
• Are unsure if they need to go to A&E or another NHS Urgent Care service.
• Need health information or reassurance about what to do next; or
• Require continuity of care when in hours GP services are closed.
A contract is currently in place that is due to expire on 4th September 2024. BOB ICB are intending to competitively tender the NHS 111 service across the whole BOB footprint, with
the procurement process expected to commence in September 2023.
The successful provider will demonstrate the ability to work closely and collaboratively with our existing services including Primary Care, our 3 Acute Trusts, Community Services,
Urgent Care Services, neighbouring 111 providers and our Out of Hours providers as well as any other relevant service providers to support long-term sustainable Urgent and Emergency
Care transformation across the BOB footprint.
In preparation of this, the ICB is holding two market engagement events as an opportunity for interested providers to hear details regarding the strategic intent, scope of the
procurement and expected timeline.
Interested providers have a choice of attending two virtual events, the first held at 10am on Monday 26th June and the second at 2pm on Thursday 29th June. The content of each event
will be the same.
If you would like to attend, please contact Mark Stanbrook, Lead Senior Procurement Manager at mstanbrook@nhs.net, cc"ing Caitlin Dyke (caitlin.dyke@nhs.net) to request a place and stating which date you would prefer.
