Following the start of the project, it was discovered that more extensive groundworks and landscaping works would be required in order to ensure the bespoke design could be completed.

Description of the economic or technical reasons and the inconvenience or duplication of cost preventing a change of contractor:

The design for the mechanical Coronation Garden is an original creation of Diarmuid Gavin and he has full intellectual property rights. Therefore, a change of economic operator would create issues with interchangeability as he is the only economic operator with the necessary intellectual property rights.
