VII.2.1) Description of the modifications

Additional services required for at least 3 months to address deficiencies in the completion of deliverables by an incumbent service provider, including knowledge transfer and handover to Fujitsu Services Limited. The additional services are within the scope of the existing contract with Fujitsu Services Limited.

Description of the economic or technical reasons and the inconvenience or duplication of cost preventing a change of contractor:

Contracting with another service provider would cause significant duplication of costs. Fujitsu Services Limited already have a working knowledge of the developed system and are contracted to accept handover of, and provide support to, the system. Preparing and procuring a new contract with a separate contractor for short term service provision would result in significant delay and duplication of costs in the handover to Fujitsu Services Limited.
