UKAEA wishes to re-engage with potential glovebox manufacturers for the provision of 15-off non-nuclear type integrated gloveboxes and associated components to act as secondary containment for tritium process equipment. These gloveboxes will be utilised in a number of sub-systems that will make up the Tritium Plant located within the new h2AT facility currently in construction on the UKAEA Culham site. At PIN1 stage, it was the intent of UKAEA to procure ‘glovebox shells’ and the ‘integration activities’ as two separate packages. Following feedback from the supply chain received during market engagement, UKAEA now intend to combine these two procurements into a single contract with one supplier for the provision of fully integrated and equipped glovebox assemblies for the h2AT facility.
