CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR DETAILED DESIGN OF AMAGORO IRRIGATION SCHEME. |
Government of Uganda has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of the Irrigation for Climate Resilience Project (ICRP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds for Consultancy Services for Detailed Design of Amagoro Irrigation Scheme.
The overall objective of the study is to develop the Detailed Design for Amagoro irrigation scheme into a bankable multipurpose development project.
The Consulting services (“the Services”) will entail; carrying out relevant technical investigations and studies comprising of water resources (hydrologic and hydro-geologic) assessment, agricultural soils and agronomic studies, irrigation water requirements, topographical surveys, geotechnical investigations, hydraulic studies and design and undertake the Detail Design for Amagoro irrigation scheme in Tororo District. The consultant will prepare cost estimates and perform financial and economic analysis which will form the basis for project appraisal, investment finance mobilization and project implementation for the project.
The implementation period of the assignment is 12 Calendar Months

The Ministry of Water and Environment (MWE) now invites eligible Consultancy firms to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultancy firms should provide sufficient information demonstrating that they meet the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the services. The shortlisting criteria are:
The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to Section III, paragraphs 3.14, 3.16 and 3.17 of the World Bank’s ‘Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers’ November 2020 [Procurement in investment Project Financing; Goods, Works, Non-Consulting and Consulting Services, setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.
Consultants may associate with other firms to enhance their qualifications but should indicate clearly whether the association is in the form of a joint venture and/or a sub-consultancy. In the case of a joint venture, all the partners in the joint venture shall be jointly and severally liable for the entire contract, if selected.
A consultant will be selected in accordance with the Quality and Cost Based Selection (QCBS) Method set out in the World Bank Procurement Regulation November 2020.
Information and clarifications can be obtained not later than three days to the date of submission at the address below during office hours (Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:00 hours, except on public holidays).
