CONSTRUCTION OF KALUTU 2 BRIDGE (120M) AND KALUTU 3 BRIDGE (120M) AND THEIR 3KM APPROACH ROADS IN TABORA REGION.

The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Roads to Inclusion and Socio-Economic Opportunities Project (RISE) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Construction of Kalutu 2 Bridge (120m) and Kalutu 3 Bridge (120m) and Their 3km Approach Roads in Tabora Region.
The Tanzania National Roads Agency the Implementing Agency now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Construction of two bridges: Kalutu 2 Bridge (120m) and Kalutu 3 Bridge (120m) and 3km Approach Roads along Shelui - Nzega Paved Trunk Road Between Chainage 16+100 - 19+250. Margin of preference is not applicable. The estimated major quantities of works are as follows: -

Bidding will be conducted through national competitive procurement using Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers- Procurement in Investment Projects Financing” Seventh Edition, September 2025 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
Bidders should note that to qualify for award of the contract they are required to meet certain minimum qualifying criteria as provided in Section III: Evaluation and Qualification Criteria (without Prequalification Criteria) of the Bidding Document which includes;

The bidding document in English Language may be purchased by interested eligible Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of TZS 200,000.00 or its equivalent in freely a convertible currency. The method of payment will be through the Control Number to be provided by TANROADS. Please request a control number through mail address: prisca.kombo@tanroads.go.tz copied to pmu@tanroads.go.tz after getting the control number, follow procedures outlines in this link https://epay.gepg.go.tz/ to make payment and follow up your receipt via emails provided or direct deposit or telegraphic transfer to the TANROADS bank account. Details of the Bank Account will be made available to Bidders upon request to the Secretary TANROADS HQ Tender Board, 2nd Floor, 10 Shaaban Robert Road/Garden Avenue Junction, Dar es Salaam. Bids must be delivered to the address below the Secretary, TANROADS Headquarters Tender Board 10 Shaaban Robert Road/Garden Avenue Junction 2nd Floor, Room No. 44 Dar es Salaam, Tanzania on or before 10:00 hours, local time on 20th April, 2026. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the TANROADS Conference Room 2nd Floor, Room No. 44, TANROADS Headquarters, 10 Shaaban Robert Road/Garden Avenue Junction, Dar es Salaam on 10:00 hours, local time, 20th April, 2026.
All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid-Securing Declaration.
Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
