Invitation for Bids

Project Name: CTZ 1059 01W MOROGORO WATER AND SANITATION PROJECT

IFB No: AE/038/2022-2023/W/AFD/01

The Morogoro Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (MORUWASA) through the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has received funds from the Agence Française de Développement ("AFD") towards the cost of Morogoro Water And Sanitation Project. It is intended that part of the proceeds of these funds will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for the Drilling of two (2) 300 M Deep Boreholes at Dakawa Well Field in Morogoro Region. The Boreholes are intended to confirm the availability of a potential aquifer in Mkata plain and may be used to supply water to the Northern part of Morogoro Municipality and Dakawa ward.
The MORUWASA now invites sealed Bids from eligible Specialist Contractors registered in class One or Two for the Drilling of two (2) 300 M Deep Boreholes at Dakawa Well Field in Morogoro Region ("the Works").
Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information form and inspect the bidding Documents at the office of the Secretary of the Tender Board, Morogoro Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (MORUWASA), 30 Barabara ya Mazimbu 67105 Uwanja wa Taifa, P.O.Box 5476, MOROGORO – TANZANIA from 08:00 – 16:30 Local Time on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.
A complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased by interested Bidders on the submission of a written application to the above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of TZS 200,000 or Euro 100. The method of payment will be a direct payment to the National Microfinance Bank (NMB), Morogoro Wami Branch with the following account numbers: 22110084800 for EURO currency, account name is MOROGORO WATER AUTHORITY, and 22110084789 for Tanzania Shillings, account name is MOROGORO WATER AUTHORITY.
The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract are the provisions of AFD"s Standard Bidding Documents: Procurement of Works.
Bids must be delivered to the Secretary of Tender Board, Morogoro Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Authority, 30 Barabara ya Mazimbu 67105 Uwanja wa Taifa, P.O.Box 5476, MOROGORO – TANZANIA on or before 10.00 am local time on 29th November, 2023 and must be accompanied by a Bid security in an acceptable form in the amount of Tshs. 15,000,000.00.
Bids will be opened in the presence of Bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 10:00 am Local Time on 29th November, 2023 at the offices of Procurement Management Unit, Morogoro, Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Authority, 30 Barabara ya Mazimbu 67105 Uwanja wa Taifa, P.O.Box 5476, Morogoro Municipality – TANZANIA.
