INVITATION FOR BIDS

FOR

Procurement of:

Community Conservation Banks (COCOBA) Boxes and Documents Storage Containers

1. The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of the RESILIENT NATURAL RESOURCES MANAGEMENT FOR TOURISM AND GROWTH (REGROW) project and intends to apply part of the proceeds towards payments under the contracts for Procurement of Community Conservation Banks (COCOBA) Boxes and Documents Storage Containers.

2. The Tanzania National Parks now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for Supply of (COCOBA) Boxes and Documents storage containers.

3. Bidders may bid for one or several contracts, as further defined in the bidding document. Bidders wishing to offer discounts in case they are awarded more than one contract will be allowed to do so, provided those discounts are included in the Letter of Bid.

4. Qualifications requirements for the tender includes : (i) The Bidder shall demonstrate that it has successfully completed at least three (3) similar contracts within the last five (5) years prior to bid submission deadline, with cumulative value of at least TZS 200,000,000.00 that have been successfully and substantially completed and that are similar in nature and complexity to the Goods and Related Services under the Contract, Further details and complete qualification requirements are provided in the Bidding Documents.

5. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers dated January 2011 (revised July 2014 (“Procurement Guidelines”), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.

A complete set of the bidding documents (in English) is available to interested eligible Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Tanzanian Shillings One Hundred Thousand only (TZS 100,000.00) or its equivalent in freely convertible currency. The method of payment will be through the Control Number to be provided by TANAPA from the Conservation Commissioner, Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA), Mwalimu J.K. Nyerere Conservation Centre, Burka Estate, Dodoma Road, P.O. Box 3134, Arusha, Tanzania. Please request the Control number through the Email address regrow@tanzaniaparks.go.tz , After getting the control number, follow procedures outlined in this link https://epay.gepg.go.tz/ to make payment and follow up your receipt via emails provided. The document will be sent by Courier (related costs to be covered by the interested Bidder) or physical pickup by the Bidders at Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA) HQ, Office Room No. 40, Mwalimu J.K. Nyerere Conservation Centre, Burka Estate, Dodoma Road, Arusha.

8. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 14:00hours on 30th October, 2023. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address below:
