• The Republic of Tajikistan has received financing from World Bank towards the cost of the Rogun Hydro Electric Power Plant Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Lot 3 A – Remaining Right Bank Structures. This contract is expected to be jointly financed by the Asian Development Bank, Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, European Investment Bank, World Bank and CDP. Procurement process will be governed by the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations.
• The Project Management group for Energy Facilities Construction under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan (PMG) intends to prequalify contractors for the execution of the contract for Lot 3A – Remaining Right Bank Structures. The following works will be included in the scope of the contract: (i) Tunnels/Spillways: one (1) High Level Outlet (HLO2) with diameter up to 12 m and discharge capacity up to 2000 cumecs, and Overflow Spillway(s) (OvS) with total discharge capacity of 3400 cumecs; (ii) hydromechanical equipment : sliding gates 9 m high x 3,8 m wide, wheel gates and radial gates 5.6 m (h) x 4.4 m (w) under 120 m of water column for HLO2, and radial gates 12,7 m (h) x 11,0 m (w) for the Overflow Spillway(s), and auxiliary relevant electrical and mechanical systems; (iii) Slope excavation and stabilization works.
• It is expected that the Request for Bids will be launched approximately in May 2026.
• Prequalification will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers July 2016 and revised in September 2023 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Applicants as defined in the Procurement Regulations Rated criteria will apply as defined in the bidding documents.
• Interested eligible Applicants may obtain further information from the Project Management Group for Energy Construction Facilities under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan at the address below during office hours from 09:00 to 17:00. A complete set of prequalification documents in English may be obtained by interested Applicants on the submission of a written application to the address below. The document will be sent by PMG via email and following Applicants official request to the email indicated below.
• Applications for prequalification should be submitted in clearly marked envelopes and delivered to the address below by 1500 h on January 26, 2026. Late applications may be rejected.
