• The Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka has received a Credit from the International Development Association (IDA) in various currencies equivalent to US$ 58.630 Million towards the cost of the Agriculture Sector Modernization Project of the Ministry of Agriculture, and it intends to apply portion of the proceeds of this credit to eligible payments under the Contract for the following works as described in the table below.

• Chairman, Provincial Project Procurement Committee on behalf of the ASM Project, Ministry of Agriculture, now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the following works as described in the table below.

• Bidders are allowed to quote for the above work with Bid Security and Bid validity date as mentioned in the Bid document. One bidder is allowed to quote only one bid for each contract. To be eligible for contract award, the successful bidder shall not have been blacklisted and shall have been registered in the field of respective construction for the grade mentioned in the table above with the Construction Industry Development Authority (CIDA)

• Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedure approved by the World Bank.

• Qualification requirements are indicated in section 4 of the Bidding document. Additional details are provided in the Schedule (Section5) of the bidding document.

• Bid shall be valid up to 01st July,2024.

• Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid security as per the information given in the Table.

• The Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka has received a Credit from the International Development Association (IDA) in various currencies equivalent to US$ 58.630 Million towards the cost of the Agriculture Sector Modernization Project of the Ministry of Agriculture, and it intends to apply portion of the proceeds of this credit to eligible payments under the Contract for the following works as described in the table below.

• Chairman, Provincial Project Procurement Committee on behalf of the ASM Project, Ministry of Agriculture, now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the following works as described in the table below.

• Bidders are allowed to quote for the above work with Bid Security and Bid validity date as mentioned in the Bid document. One bidder is allowed to quote only one bid for each contract. To be eligible for contract award, the successful bidder shall not have been blacklisted and shall have been registered in the field of respective construction for the grade mentioned in the table above with the Construction Industry Development Authority (CIDA)

• Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedure approved by the World Bank.

• Qualification requirements are indicated in section 4 of the Bidding document. Additional details are provided in the Schedule (Section5) of the bidding document.

• Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Project Director, Agriculture Sector Modernization Project (T.P: 0112073044/ 0714881265 / 0714961603/ Fax No: 0112 877546) (Email: - procurementspasmp@hotmail.com ) and inspect the bidding documents at the same place on any working day from 12th February, 2024 to 04th March, 2024 from 9:00 hrs to 14:00 hrs.

• Pre-Bid meeting will be held on 22th February 2024 at 10.00 am at KN/58 GS Office, Piramanthanaru, Kilinochchi There will be a site visit to the proposed project site, after the pre-bid meeting.

• Bid shall be valid up to 01st July,2024.

• Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid security as per the information given in the Table.

• A complete set of Bidding Documents in English language may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the Project Management Unit, Agriculture Sector Modernization Project, 123/2, Pannipitiya Road, Battaramulla from 12th February, 2024 to 04th March, 2024 from 9:00 hrs to 14:00 hrs upon payment of a non-refundable fee as mentioned in the above Table, within the below mention period. The method of payment should be by cash.

• Closing date of the bid is 04th March, 2024.

• Bids must be delivered to the Project Management Unit, Agriculture Sector Modernization Project 123/2, Pannipitiya Road, Battaramulla on or before 14:00 hrs on the bid closing date as mention above. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will not be accepted. Bids will be opened immediately after bid closing, in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend one person at the above-mentioned address.

• Complete bids should be separately forwarded in two copies as the original and the duplicate. The original and the duplicate should be enclosed separately and marked as the ‘original’ and ‘duplicate’ respectively in sealed envelope. Both envelopes enclosed in a sealed single envelope and marked contract number and name of the contract on top left-hand corner of the envelope.
