08-12-2025 Quotations are hereby invited for the provision of services to main air receiver safe valve yearly test at port terminals pier 2 CVR workshop. Scope: Pressure Relief Valve (PRV) test: 1. Locate the PRV, usually on the compressor’s air receiver or discharge pipe; 2. Check the valve’s set pressure (should be marked on the valve or in the manual); 3. Use a pressure gauge to slowly increase pressure until the valve opens; 4. Verify the valve opens at the set pressure ( /- 10%); 5. If it does not, adjust or replace the valve. Safety valve test: 1. Locate the safety valve, usually on the compressor’s air receiver; 2. Check the valve’s set pressure (should be marked on the valve or in the manual); 3. Use a pressure gauge to slowly increase pressure until the valve opens; 4. Verify the valve opens at the set pressure ( /- 10%); 5. If it does not, adjust or replace the valve. Minimum Pressure Valve (MPV) test: 1. Locate the MPV, usually on the compressor’s discharge pipe; 2. Check the valve’s set pressure (should be marked on the valve or in the manual); 3. Use pressure gauge to measure pressure upstream and downstream of the valve; 4. Verify the valve maintains the minimum pressure. .
