07-12-2025 Re-advertisement: Quotations are hereby invited for Scorpio IOF pump cable installation. Scope of work: 1. Trenching and backfilling soft or hard soil of 300m, 2. Laying of cable of 300m, 3. Pipe jacking of 40m, 4. Cable jointing and termination, 5. Pressure test cable before and after jointing of cable, 6. Refilling after work is completed and CoU’s representative to check the quality of work, is satisfied with insulation tests, pressure testing and has received all test results, 7. Insuring the tidiness of the area after completion, 8. Guarantee cable joint for a minimum period of 12 months. .
07-12-2025 Quotations are hereby invited for tree felling and grass cutting. Scope: Tree cutting at: Esikhaleni Sewerage OHL and Vulindlela OHL: Trees to be cut under MV line. 1. On the MV line the trees must be cut under the MV line, 3m wide on both sides of the MV line. 2. All debris branches that have been cut must be removed and the area must be clear and tidy. 3. No trees must be cut and fall on the line or damage the insulation of the conductor, or make the conductor fail or snap and fall on the ground. 4. If any of the above happen the contractor will be held responsible for any damage to the council property. 5. The service provider will use qualified personnel to execute the work or job. All safety precaution will be taken by the service provider to make sure that the work is carried out with safety. 6. Whenever it is deem necessary the apparatus will be isolated and earth, and the work permit will be issued to the responsible person. 7. Where it is necessary that the work or cutting of trees must be done above 2m from ground level safety Hannes or safety belt will be used by that person doing the work. 8. No aluminium ladders that will be used except fibre glass ladder will be allowed. 9. Trees must be cut 3m away from the road at the drive-ways to substations on each side, no branches or any dirt must be left on site. .
