Bids are hereby invited for the appointment of a panel for the construction of general building projects for the Free State to be appointed on an “as and when required” basis for a period of 36 months. Scope of work: The scope of services to be rendered by the contractors on “as and when required” basis. The appointed service providers are expected to undertake the following services which include (but are not limited to) the following: • Construction of general building projects; • Compiling of structural assessment reports and submit method statement where incomplete houses are to be rectified; • Demolishing of structures (where applicable); • Design of foundations (Contractor’s to appoint an Engineer); • Design different sizes housing plans; • The designs must meet all the technical requirements; • Design of house plans and submission to the Municipality for approval; • Construction of houses; • Conducting geotechnical investigations (in areas where there is no geotechnical investigation.
