Quotations are hereby invited for appointment of a contractor for the sorting & crushing of builder’s rubble to 40mm at the Gwaing Waste Disposal Facility for three years, from date of appointment. Scope of work: • Building rubble defined as bricks, sand, concrete, wooden planks, plastic etc. The tenderer will be required to remove contaminated items such as plastic; wood; pipes etc. from the rubble to a designated area. The crushed material will be stockpiled at desired location on site and transported to various informal settlements where needed; • The successful tenderer will be responsible to manually sort the rubble to expose the building rubble suitable for crushing by using local labour. The contaminants will be disposed at the waste transfer station or be recycled. All labour to be equipped with relevant safety equipment; • Expose suitable building rubble from the dump. Sorting and picking to produce a cleaner product. The product will be fed into a demolition crusher to produce a - 40mm product; • Final product will be stockpiled in designated area on site and be transported to the informal settlements when needed; • Record and report the total volumes or tonnages processed.
