Quotations are hereby invited for the provision of an automated reading system modem and antenna for Large Power Users as per specifications. Scope: provision of an automated meter reading system for LPU modem and antenna: Supply, installation, commissioning and certification of Modem and Antennas: • To commission, maintain and manage metering communication systems for Large Power Users (LPU), Eskom intakes metering points and other internal metering points identified by the client; • The hardware (Modem and antenna) will be installed by the service provider. The service provider and municipality will conduct inspection and verify if it is correct before uploading the metering point onto the service provider reading platform; • The service provider to attend to all communication, equipment and other functional related problems with field reset as required; • To collect, process, monitor, publish consumption and load profile data on the internet on at least a daily basis for the metering points all metering points; • The client aims to provide billing and technical related information to large power user customers and other Large Power Users through displaying the information on the internet; • The successful service provider will assume responsibility for the integrity of the entire modem and antenna installation communication equipment.
