Scope of Work • Removal of existing seating and ensure that the floor is prepared and ready for the new installation, • Bidder to ensure removal of all auditorium seats and disposal of debris, • Fully upholstered high back chair with PU armrests, • Ergonomically shaped double curvature shell (developed for ideal lumbar support), • Shell to consist of 12mm thick (minimum) cross-ply laminated plywood board (to ensure structural integrity), • Upholstered seat and backrest to be covered in high density moulded foam mounted onto laminated ply shell (to ensure long-lasting comfort), • Fully upholstered seat in fabric - Weavers World ‘Galaxy’ Fabric, +50000 Rubs, (Colours: Moon, Earth, Sirius, Mercury & Titan - samples to be supplied for Client sign-off prior to installation), • Dual seat mild steel chair structure with central post, • Chair to be supported by a double swing arm mechanism, • Seat bracket to be attached to swing-arm framework using a tapered bush, • Centre posts to be manufactured from 50mm diameter tube, • Centre posts to be finished at floor level with a 2,5mm dome pressed footplate, • Footplate fixed to floor according to the manufacture"s instruction, • Entire chair structure and all its parts finished with a durable epoxy powder coating (for enhanced longevity and resistance to wear), • Centre to centre chair spacing 650mm (minimum), • PU armrests set at +/- 540mm between arms, • 100% locally manufactured preferably, • Seating system to have been tested and passed the SABS 1528-1 test criteria for institutional use.
