03-10-2025 Re-Advertisement: Quotations are hereby requested for the appointment of a suitable service provider for the provision of the hatchery management short course training for the personnel (programme coordinators) of the Food Resilience Unit. Scope of Work and Deliverables: The contract scope of work to be rendered by the service provider will be as follows: • Provide training for the client"s personnel (Programme Coordinators) on fundamentals of Hatchery Management Short Course Training, • Ensure that the personnel (Programme Coordinators) receive the certification for the course that they have attended, • The duration of the training should be 5 days, inclusive of theory and practicals for each module/unit standard, • Should use Agri-Seta accredited learning materials (manuals) for each module/unit standard, • Should provide all the necessary tools/equipment for demonstration during the training, • Provide a training pack, such as writing pads, bags, and pens, for all 25 Programme Coordinators learners, • A total number of twenty-five (25) learners should be trained, • Training and practical venues will be provided by a suitable Service Provider within 50KM radius from Joburg, • Should have a Hatchery facility or the Proof of Agreement to utilise the Hatchery, • Should provide a Certified copy of the Chemicals Use Licence, • Should provide the necessary PPE for the duration of the training, especially during the practicals, • Should provide a detailed Training Plan. Specifications: The Hatchery Short Course Training should entail the following elements: Basic Hatchery Management: • Business registration and compliance, • Bio-Security management, • Hatchery settings, • Ventilation management, • Egg receiving and handling, • Vaccination and pest control management, • Hatchery troubleshooting, • Post-hatch care, • Analysis of hatch results, • Grading, labelling, packaging, and distribution, • Marketing and sales, • Certification of Compliance.
