Bids are hereby invited for the removal of bees from Construction East - Grootdraai Dam, Vlakfontein Canal and Standerton WTW close to Standerton in the Mpumalanga Province for a period of 2 years. Specifications: • Bees need to be removed and relocated by a professional bee farmer/bee keeper/bee removal specialist from different construction sites from containers/structures and relocated so that the colonies are preserved, • Bee hives/Bees will be removed during evening/night time and not killed where practically possible, • Bees/Bee hives need to be removed as and when required by the bidder, • Remove queen cells in order to prevent the hive from dividing and swarming, • Old diseased bee colonies must be destroyed, • Records must be kept of all hives that have been removed for future reference, • Bee professional must conduct regular inspections free of charge to make sure bees have been relocated successfully, • Bee professional must have insurance covered and disclaims the client of any loss of life and/or any other risk whatsoever from the Bee professional while removing bees from site or any other activity related to removal of bees and relocation thereof, • Ensuring of safety of all people/domestic animals involved during operation, • Indemnity form will be signed by all parties involved during the operation, • The Bee removal professional should make sure to remove any traces of honey or honeycomb.
