The Client invites proposals for the analysis of the impact of the AfCFTA on SACU member states: Consultants or consultancy firms to undertake an assessment of the effects of deepening the AfCFTA to a level of a Customs Union. The Client therefore wishes to engage Consultant(s) to undertake an assessment of the readiness and impact of the AfCFTA progressing to a Customs Union (and the adopting of a suitable CET). The study will assess the impact of trade agreements and economic shocks on SACU Member States’ GDP, net welfare, employment, trade flows, the CET and the CRP in alignment with the SACU Strategic Plan (2022-2027) using the appropriate methodologies for policy analysis.
