Proposals are hereby invited for the procurement of a consultancy firm to conduct a feasibility study for establishment of a postal hub for South Africa under the Southern Africa Postal Operators Association (SAPOA). Scope of Work: To conduct a feasibility study for a regional hub, and carry out the following tasks: - Task 1: Literature Review and international best practice analysis: The purpose of a literature review is to facilitate the consultant to obtain data, information, and opinions and international best practices on regional postal hubs; - Task 2: Market analysis: Research the demand for a regional hub in the target area, including market size, growth potential, and competition; - Task 3: Location analysis: Evaluate potential locations for the hub, considering factors like accessibility, infrastructure, and local support; - Task 4: Technical and operational requirements: Assess the necessary infrastructure, equipment, and personnel needs; - Task 5: Financial analysis: Estimate costs, revenues, and profitability, including potential funding sources and return on investment. Objectives: This assignment will focus on Phase 1 which is the feasibility study. The objective of the assignment would be to carry out a feasibility study to determine the practicality and potential success of the establishment of a regional hub for Southern Africa.
