Determine available airspace of WDFs: The consultant must submit a WDF Airspace Determination Report, which estimates the remaining volume of airspace and height of the facilities, as well as estimate the remaining time left for disposal at the facilities, • Topographical survey and airspace calculations, • Estimations of available airspace should the landfill sites be rearranged to be utilised optimally, • Recommendations on improvement of compaction and rearrangement to increase airspace, • Worcester and De Doorns landfill sites, 2. Conduct external audits according to the Licence conditions: The consultant must do an audit of the WDF and present findings and recommendations as per the Licence. Audit to include all monitoring as per the licence: • Site visit and inspection of the landfill sites, • Ground and surface water monitoring, • Reporting in the required format for external audits, • The provision of three hard copies of the audit report and electronic format (WORD and PDF), • Worcester and De Doorns (Touwsrivier estimate on rehabilitation only), 3. Update the Organic Waste Diversion Plan The consultant must update and amend an Organic Waste Plan for BVM to incorporate: • A status quo report of current organic waste sources and volumes disposed at Municipal WDFs, and current rates and procedures of organic waste diversion from WDFs, • Set annual targets and identify procedures for 2025 and beyond, that will be implemented to meet these targets for the diversion of organic waste from municipal WDFs, in order to reach a 100% diversion until closure of WDF.
