Proposals are hereby invited for provision of splicing services and pulley lagging services on an as and when required basis for a period of sixty (60) months at Richards Bay Port Terminals. Breakdowns, inspection and planned maintenance: - A qualified splicing and pulley lagging crew must be readily available 24/7 to attend to splicing and pulley lagging breakdowns; - The splicing and pulley lagging crew must arrive on site within 60 mins after receiving a callout from the Client"s technical representative to assess and prepare for repairs; - Perform fault finding, provide recommendations; - Align with the Client planned work like maintenance and shutdowns and provide the splicing and pulley lagging services accordingly; - Inspection of conveyor splicing and pulley laggings and recommendation report; - All splices and pulley laggings must be marked with date, company name, and unique number for register. Belt splicing services: - Cold splicing; - Hot splicing; - Heat accelerated splicing (hybrid method of cold and hot splicing); - Clip splicing; - Super screws; - Roll up of conveyor belt.
