Scope of work: The scope of work for the bidders is as follow: (a) The project scope of work is for the procurement and installation of cabling Infrastructure and associated services (Electrical & Civil Works) to the buildings. The project scope further covers the following key deliverables: (b) Professional/Advisory services limited to the cabling, electrical and civil works only; (c) The planning and the design of the SAPS cabling infrastructure; (d) The acquisition of cabling material; design and installation, testing of the newly installed cabling infrastructure as per the SAPS Cabling standards; (e) The supply and installation of standard racks, environ racks, as well as outdoor enclosures/containers, cabinets (perforated); (f) The supply, installation and commissioning of UPS’s, air-conditioning units and environmental management system, and Surge lightning protection; (g) The supply and construction of civil works where applicable; (h) The decommissioning of old cabling infrastructure and site cleaning if and were required; (i) Installation of network points and electrical points; (j) Project management services limited to the cabling scope of work.
