The South African National Energy Development Institute invites suitably qualified and experienced service providers to submit priced proposals for the following: Design and implementation of a PV with storage mini-grid energy security intervention. Scope of Work: The project will require the delivery of a full wrap offering including: • System Design for 500kW electricity system; • Hardware including photovoltaic panels, inverters, batteries and all associated trunking, lagging, wiring and electronic components etc; • Installation with the associated: Labour, certificate of compliance, five-year service plan, hardware guarantees and warranties; • All associated data logging and live measurement data to be installed preferably with a web-based data logging system; • Delivery of hardware to site for storage and payment before 15 March 2024; • Project CIDB compliance including all required standards and safety regulations; • System commissioning and operationalisation by December 2024 is a prerequisite; • System must be modularized (inverters and batteries) to ensure energy security and be able to support additional mini-grid system integration. Duration of the Project: The project activities are anticipated to be executed and concluded within 12 months from signature of the contract, including the final project hand over.
