Addendum: Amendment to Closing Date: Quotations are hereby invited for the following: Provision of environmental specialist services (monitoring and permit) for the construction of the marine infrastructure at the Port of Ngqura. Scope of work: Development of Specialist Monitoring and Management Plans: The project Environmental Authorization and EMPr require various specialist monitoring and management Plans to be developed and approvals to be obtained from relevant authorities prior to commencement of construction. The Consultant is required to: • Undertake a review of the project EA and relevant Specialist recommendations contained in the Final Environmental Impact Report for the Berth A100 Project to obtain an understanding of specific specialist requirements; • Provide all specialist services required to develop specified monitoring plans and programmes and to obtain relevant approvals from authorities which include the following: 1. Marine Specialist with knowledge and experience relating to dredging activities and offshore disposal of dredged material to develop a marine water quality monitoring plan and programme for dredging and offshore dredged spoil disposal; 2. Marine Mammal Specialist to review and update the Port of Ngqura Blasting Noise Management Plan and to develop a Management and Monitoring Plan and Programme for the effects of noise on marine mammals during marine construction activities; 3. Provide all required Project Management Services to facilitate the above processes. Pre-construction Specialist Monitoring and Reporting Services: The project Environmental Authorization and EMPr require various specialist activities to be undertaken prior to commencement of construction. The Consultant is required to: • Undertake a review of the project EA and relevant Specialist recommendations contained in the Final Environmental Impact Report for the Berth A100 Project to obtain an understanding of specific specialist requirements; • Provide all specialist monitoring and reporting services required prior to commencement of construction of the project, which include the following: • Marine Specialist to undertake baseline marine water quality monitoring in accordance with the approved Water Quality Monitoring Plan and Programme developed as part of Task 1; • Marine Mammal Specialist to undertake monitoring of local and long range noise levels inside and outside the Port at agreed monitoring points to establish baseline noise levels prior to commencement of construction activities as well as any other baseline monitoring required in terms of the Noise Management and Monitoring Plan developed as part of Task 1; • Provide all required Project Management Services to facilitate the processes.
