2. Background
Save the Children South Africa (SCSA) is a non-profit company, formed and registered in 2012 and an associate member of Save the Children International. We are present in three provinces around the country. We have offices in, Limpopo, KwaZulu Natal and central office in Pretoria.

We fight for rights of children through health, education, and protection programmes.

3. Objective of the consultancy:
The mission of internal audit is to enhance and protect organizational value by providing risk-based assurance, advice and insight. This internal audit charter defines the authority and independence, scope, responsibility, and accountability of and within the Internal Audit Activity (IAA).

Accordingly, the scope of internal audit work entails, but is not limited to, the examination, evaluation and conclusion on the adequacy and effectiveness of the organization’s governance, risk management, internal control processes and the quality of performance in carrying out assigned responsibilities to achieve the organization’s stated objectives.
