Bids are hereby invited for the following: high level review of the statutory financial statements of Gert Sibande District Municipality and the locals municipalities in the Gert Sibande District for a period of 3 years to cover financial statements for June 2023, 2024 and 2025. Scope: The specifications shall entail the following: the appointment of a competent service provider to execute the high level review of the statutory Annual Financial Statements (AFS) of Gert Sibande District Municipality (GSDM) for the year ended June 2023 as well as for the years ended June 2024 and June 2025. The following are the specific deliverable: 1. Review of accuracy of AFS exported from the Financial System to CaseWare;(Compare AFS to GL/Supporting Schedule e.g. Fixed Assets Register); 2. Proposing final Journal Entries on CaseWare; 3. Ensuring that all accounting policies are GRAP compliant; 4. Review and assist in the preparation of the statutory Cash Flow Statement contained in the AFS; 5. Assist with technical queries as and when required by Gert Sibande and the relevant local municipalities. In addition to the above it is also required that the service provider assist with the high level review of the identified Local Municipalities in the region of GSDM that are executing their AFS in-house.
