30-05-2023 Re-advertisement: Gert Sibande District Municipality hereby invites tenders for the appointment of a panel of service providers for the refurbishment, operation and maintenance of the water treatment works within Gert Sibande District Municipality for a period of 36 months. Scope: The work to be executed under this contract includes inter alia, for the supply of all prescribed materials, the plant and labour involved for the construction of the following, and not limited to the same for: • Abstraction Works: - The assessment of existing flow measurement equipment with either refurbishment works to be undertaken, and where not possible, total replacement of equipment; - The assessment of existing pump and motors with either refurbishment works to be undertaken, and where not possible, total replacement of equipment; • Water Treatment Works: - The assessment of existing flow control valves with either refurbishment works to be undertaken, and where not possible, total replacement of equipment; - The assessment of existing flow measurement equipment with either refurbishment works to be undertaken, and where not possible, total replacement of equipment; - The assessment of existing poly dosing and coagulation dosing system equipment with either refurbishment works to be undertaken, and where not possible, total replacement of equipment; - The assessment of existing SCADA and/or manual system equipment with either refurbishment works to be undertaken, and where not possible, total replacement of equipment; - Remedial Civil and Structural works where required to the existing flocculation channels which will include de-sludging; - Remedial Civil and Structural works where required to the existing settlers which will include de - sludging; - The assessment of existing automated and/or manual system equipment in the settlers, with either refurbishment works to be undertaken, and where not possible, total replacement of equipment; - The assessment of existing weir plates in the settlers with either refurbishment works to be undertaken, and where not possible, total replacement of equipment; • Sand Filters: - The assessment of existing false floors and/or laterals with either refurbishment works to be undertaken, and where not possible, total replacement of equipment; - The assessment of existing sand filter layer(s) with either sieving or remedial measures to be undertaken, and where not possible, total replacement of sand; • Backwash: - The assessment of existing pumps, motors and blowers with either refurbishment works to be undertaken, and where not possible, total replacement of equipment; • Clear Water Tanks: - Remedial Civil and Structural works where required to the existing clear water tanks; - The assessment of existing level control (Ultrasonic/Manual systems) with either refurbishment works to be undertaken, and where not possible, total replacement of equipment; • Chemical Dosing and Disinfection: - The assessment of existing dosing system with either servicing works to be undertaken, and where not possible, total replacement of equipment; - Provision of chemicals: - Sodium Hypochlorite; - 75kg Chloring Gas System; - 1 Ton Chloring Gas System; • High Lift Pump Stations: - The assessment of existing pumps, motors and valves with either refurbishment works to be undertaken, and where not possible, total replacement of equipment; - The assessment of existing flow measurement equipment with either refurbishment works to be undertaken, and where not possible, total replacement of equipment; - The assessment of existing internal and external pipework with either refurbishment works to be undertaken, and where not possible, total replacement of equipment in all materials; - The assessment of existing pressure gauge equipment with either refurbishment works to be undertaken, and where not possible, total replacement of equipment; - Remedial Civil, Structural and Building works where required to the existing pump stations where required; • Electrical Installations: - The assessment of existing MCC’s and power supply cables with either refurbishment works to be undertaken, and where not possible, total replacement of equipment; - The assessment of existing estops and cables with either refurbishment works to be undertaken, and where not possible, total replacement of equipment; - The assessment of SCADA from the high lift pump station to reservoirs with either refurbishment works to be undertaken, and where not possible, total replacement of equipment in all materials; • Backup Power Supply: - The assessment of existing MV/LV transformers with either refurbishment/upgrading of the equipment to be undertaken, and where not possible, total replacement of equipment; - The assessment of existing generators and cables with either refurbishment works to be undertaken, and where not possible, total replacement of equipment; • Operations and Maintenance Contract: - An O&M Contract for a minimum period of 36 months is proposed and personnel in accordance with documents are to be provided on for a 24-hour period. .
30-05-2023 Quotations are hereby invited to conduct research on libraries and archives as an ETD Subsector for the purpose of 2023/24 Sector Skills Plan (SSP) update The ETDP SETA would like to contract a research partner to conduct research that will provide empirical data and labour market related information to inform the SSP update for 2024/25. The research partner appointed will be allocated the Libraries and Archives subsector. Objectives: The main focus of this project is to gather, analyse and validate short, medium and long-term empirical data relating to the subsector profile, key skills issues, occupational shortages and skills gaps, subsector partnerships as well as skills priorities for the subsector across Libraries and Archives. The scope of work is to conduct research for the Education, Training and Development (ETD) Sector Skills Plan (SSP) with specific focus on Libraries and Archives for the period 2023/2024. The main focus of this project is to gather, analyse and validate short, medium and long-term empirical data relating to the subsector profile, key skills issues, occupational shortages and skills gaps, subsector partnerships as well as skills priorities for the subsector across Libraries and Archives. The research partner will be expected to follow the latest Department of Higher Education and Training SSP Framework and Guidelines in the compilation of the report of this project. Duration of the agreement: The work is expected to be completed within the period of Twelve (12) months after the signing of the Service Level Agreement (SLA). .
