Quotations are hereby invited for the following: Supply of internet connectivity for the Durban ICC (Internal LAN) for a period of 12 months. Purpose: The Durban ICC requires the services of an internet service provider (registered with ICASA) for the supply of internet connectivity, for a period of 12 months. Mandatory Scope of works: - Fibre optic internet link provision and backbone. - All connectivity charges must be for the service provider’s account and the uplink must be supplied and terminated at the Durban ICC server room. - Ethernet termination and hand off. - 100 Mbps symmetrical bandwidth, 100 Mbps upload 100 Mbps download, at a 1:1 contention ratio and up to 100% international. - 1Gbps Burstable bandwidth to all NAP Africa Internet Exchanges and open peers. - Must cater for and be able to supply upgrade bandwidth up to at least 1GBps, on demand for a period of one month, at a time as and when required by the Durban ICC. - Unlimited bandwidth and no throttling or bandwidth pooling on main uplink. - Supply into management platform must be unshaped bandwidth. - Must be redundant with a minimum of three fibre optic international backhauls. - Access to local South African sites must not be via an international point of presence. - 24 hour link monitoring. - MRTG graphing for link performance. - 32 usable static internet IP addresses. - SMTP mx record hosting. - Link and bandwidth monitoring. - Managed router. - SMTP email spooling. - Sufficient contingency of external IP addresses must be readily available should IP addresses be blacklisted. - 24 hour technical and telephonic support (helpdesk support contact details to be provided). - Additional uncapped FTTH account to be supplied monthly for backup purposes.
