Expressions of interests are hereby invited for the following: Regional Carbon Pricing Support for Southern Africa. The objective of this assignment is to deliver capacity building and knowledge sharing workshops on the building blocks of carbon pricing to countries in Southern Africa. These building blocks - such as measurement, reporting, and verification systems (MRV), registry infrastructure, stakeholder consultations, and consistency with overall policy mix - are common across different carbon pricing instruments such as domestic carbon tax, emissions trading scheme, crediting mechanism, or international carbon markets. The assignment is expected to be delivered in partnership with the Southern African Power Pool (SAPP), and in coordination with the UNFCCC Regional Collaboration Centers. Scope of work: Deliver capacity building and knowledge sharing workshops on carbon pricing in partnership with the Southern African Power Pool (SAPP), coordinating with the UNFCCC Regional Collaboration Centers and climate change focal points, as well as other relevant entities as appropriate.
