Contract Title: Common Corridor with KBRT-2.7 km from Nipa to Hassan Square Transmission Main and

1. The Islamic Republic of Pakistan has received a loan from the World Bank toward the cost of the Karachi Water & Sewerage Services Improvement Project (KWSSIP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contracts for K-IV Augmentation Works; Common Corridor with KBRT-2.7km from Nipa to Hasan Square Transmission Main and Appurtenances for 96" & 72" Dia Pipeline. This contract will be jointly financed by International Bank for Reconstruction & Development (IBRD), Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) and Government of Sindh (GoS). The Procurement process will be governed by the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations.

2. The Project Implementation Unit (PIU) KWSSIP, Karachi Water & Sewerage Corporation (KW&SC) (the Employer) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the Contract Package K-IV Augmentation Works; Common Corridor with KBRT-2.7km from Nipa to Hasan Square Transmission Main and Appurtenances for 96" & 72" Dia Pipeline, to be completed in 06 (Six) months.

3. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers- Procurement in Investment Projects Financing” (“Procurement Regulations, Fifth Edition September 2023”), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from the Office of the Project Director, Project Implementation Unit (KWSSIP), KW&SC and inspect the Bidding Documents during office hours [0900 to 1700 hours, Monday to Friday] at the address given below.

5. A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of PKR 5000 (Pak Rupees Five Thousand only) through Pay Order in favour of Project Director Karachi Water & Sewerage Services Improvement Project (KWSSIP), Karachi Water & Sewerage Corporation (KW&SC) (the Employer) for each set of the Bidding Documents or may be downloaded from https://www.kwssip.gos.pk/ and/or on the World Bank’s external website.

6. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before Monday 23.12.2024 at 16:00 hours. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on Monday 23.12.2024 at 16:00 hours.

7. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of PKR 60,000,000.

8. Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers dated: September 2023 requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful Bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the Bidding Documents.
