• Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Electricity Distribution Efficiency Improvement Project (EDEIP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for ‘Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning for Rehabilitation of 70Nos 11KV Feeders’.
• Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO ) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for ‘Supply, Installation, Testing & Commissioning for Rehabilitation of HT Proposals for following Projects:

i) Lot-I (19 Nos 11KV Feeders of Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan & Muzaffargarh Circles)

ii) Lot-1I (24Nos 11KV Feeders of Khanewal, Vehari & Sahiwal Circles)

iii) Lot-III (27 Nos 11KV Feeders of Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan & Bahawalnagar Circles)

A bidder may participate in more than one (01) Lot.

3. Bidding (Single stage Single Envelope) will be conducted through National Competitive procurement using Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers dated November 2020 “Procurement Regulations” and is open to all eligible Applicants as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

4. Interested eligible Applicants may obtain further information from the office of Chief Engineer (Development) PMU MEPCO Multan and inspect the Bidding Document at the address below during office hours i.e. 0800Hrs to 1600 Hrs.

5. The Bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders from the date of publishing, on the submission of a written application on company’s letter head to the below address and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Rs. 5,000/- The method of payment will be by cashier’s cheque / Bank draft from any scheduled bank of Pakistan in favor of the Chief Engineer (Development) PMU MEPCO or Cash Deposit Slip in HBL Branch Opposite MEPCO complex Multan Account Number: 09377900192303. The documents may be collected in person or would be sent by courier services for an additional amount of Rs.500/- for domestic delivery whereas for international delivery, the documents could be sent by express airmail for an additional payment of US$ 60. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery of the documents.

6. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 13.02.2024. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on same date immediately after submission deadline.

7. All Bids must be accompanied by a “Bid Security” as mentioned

Lot-I PKR 24Million or equivalent.

Lot-II PKR 30Million or equivalent.

Lot-III PKR 36Million or equivalent.

8. Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
