         The contracting authority would like 3 automated NGS systems for use in the pathology/molecular pathology laboratories in Bergen Hospital Trust, Stavanger Hospital Trust, and Først Hospital Trust.

         The offered system must be able to make a library, templates, and sequences without involvement of the user, with the accompanying bioinformatic tool for analysing, annotating, and reporting of sequence data. The NGS system must be CE-IVD certified from library preparation to report.

         The tener must also include an accompanying extraction system, a fully automatic extraction unit that extracts DNA and RNA in one set-up in order to create automised work flow for diagnostic NGS samples.

         The instruments will be used for analysing genetic changes in tumor biopsies sampled from a variety of cancer types. The analyses give important and vital information to patients who are on a package treatment course for cancer. It is therefore important for the hospitals that the result times are kept. The amount of samples varies a lot from week to week. The offered system must therefore be flexible as regards how many samples can be analysed per set-up, without losing any reagents.

         In addition the contracting authority would like tenders for instrument-dependent consumables that are connected to the equipment. A CE-IVD marked gene panel must be offered that covers most of the relevant, clinical genetic changes in solid tumours.

         It is preferable if other panels are also offered, but it is not a requirement.

         As an option, the contracting authority would like tenders for a further one NGS system of the same type for use in Fonna Hospital Trust. The option for the NGS system will have a duration of 2 years from when the contract is signed.

         The contracting authority would also like an option for a service contract at different levels. See Annex 4 - Overview of Service Levels for further information on what is included in the different service levels.

The stated volume is an estimate for information to the tenderer, and is not binding for future contract volume.
