The Kogi State ACReSAL Project Management Unit, the implementing Agency now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the Erosion Control, Stabilization, Reclamation, Channeling and Remediation Works at:
Lot 1- Etahi Erosion Site Etahi in Okene LGA. The Project site lies within the geographical co-ordinates of Latitude 7o31’42.10N to 7o35’14.7N and Longitude 6o14’55.9E to 6o17’14.6E, and equally lies partly between the humid Kishi-Ilorin Kabba plain and the very humid Oyo-Ibadan-Ondo-Oku plain of the guinea savanna vegetation zone of Nigeria, within the lowland of the Niger/Benue trough. It is located in the central senatorial zone of Kogi State and runs through two local government areas, namely, Okene and Adavi.The project area has an average slope of about 10.34 % from Adavi, towards the southward end, where it empties into the flood plain at Checking Point in Okene. .
Lot 2- Omigbo Erosion Site in Kabba, Kabba/Bunu LGA: Omigbo River Channelization/Gully Erosion site is situated within the geographical coordinates of Latitude 7°49′58.49"N and Longitude 6° 5′10.34"E, on the World Geodetic System (WGS) 1984 UTM Zone 32N. It lies near the Osse River, at the intersection of roads from Lokoja, Okene, Ikare, Ado-Ekiti, and Egbe, Kogi west senatorial zone, North Central geo-political zone also referred to as the middle belt of Nigeria. The town is about 295 kilometers away from Abuja.
Located at lower middle stream of a semi-urban environment of Kabba town of approximate population of 145,446 in Kabba Bunu Local Government; cutting across Kabba/Obajana and Oparo major roads. That is, Omigbo Kabba lies on the lower land that is surrounded by upper and high lands, and
Lot 3- Ankpa Erosion Site in Ankpa, Ankpa LGA: The Project is situated within the geographical coordinates of Latitude 7o21’35.4N - 7o26’21.7N and Longitude 7o36’3.5E - 7o40’45.10E on the World Geodetic System (WGS) 1984 UTM Zone 32N, are located in Ankpa Town, Ankpa Local Government Area, Kogi East, Kogi State.
The project site has an average percentage slope of about 5% towards the eastward end where it terminates into the Maboro River. Accordingly, as observed from the site, the Ankpa Local Government Headquarter is situated within the project area, precisely at the junction of St, Charles and Eneokpoli roads.
The works are expected to be completed within 24 months of commencement. Domestic preference of seven and a half (7.5 %) percent and bidders qualification without prequalification shall apply.
3. Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers- Procurement in Investment Projects Financing” [July 2016, Revised November 2020] (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
4. 5. The Bidding document in English language may be purchased by interested eligible Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of Forty-Five Thousand (NGN45,000.00) Naira or One Hundred US ($100.00) Dollars equivalent. The method of payment will be through Bank draft or Bank online transfer in favor of Kogi State - ACReSAL. The document will be sent by Courier services on request.
6. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 11.30 am, Thursday July 20, 2023. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on 11.30 am, Thursday July 20, 2023.
