Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is seeking information in relation to its Future Identity initiative.
The University’s current identity architecture is rooted in account control rather than trusted identity, resulting in complex, manual and delayed access processes that affect students, staff
and collaboration across the University. This initiative will support Phase 1 of the University’s Identity Strategy, focused on Enhanced Collaboration.
The purpose of this RFI is to understand market capability, delivery approaches, risks and indicative commercial models for an external partner to assist with identity and access modernisation.
The University is seeking a partner with proven experience in Microsoft Entra / Active Directory rationalisation, tenant consolidation, complex IDAM environments and, ideally, tertiary
education settings.
Phase 1 will focus on consolidating student accounts into the VUW tenant, enabling improved staff and student collaboration, piloting early learner access to Nuku, and establishing a simplified
foundation for future identity work.
Insights from this process may be used to shortlist suppliers for a competitive dialogue process and potential subsequent procurement stage.
Supporting documents include the RFI document and the vendor response form workbook.
