Audit, Risk and Finance Committee - Independent Member (Новая Зеландия - Тендер #70391569)

Western Bay of Plenty District Council (Western Bay) wishes to appoint an independent member to the Audit, Risk & Finance Committee for the period from March 2026 to the end of the triennium in October 2028.

The role of the Committee is to provide assurance and assistance to the Council on management of Council"s risk, financial control and compliance framework, and its external accountability responsibilities.

We are seeking someone that provides specialist expertise to the Committee and contribute to the governance of Council through membership of the Audit, Risk and Finance Committee.

The appointee will be expected to prepare for, attend in person at our head office in Tauranga, and actively participate in the regular meetings of the Audit, Risk and Finance Committee. Currently these occur five to six times each year and are scheduled for three hours.
There may be occasions where extraordinary meetings or workshops are scheduled, but these are not the norm.

Ideally the appointee would attend the Audit, Risk and Finance Committee meeting on 17 March 2026.
