We are seeking an experienced main contractor to construct a new, purpose-built 6-bay, composite fire station at 199-213 Cameron Road, Tauranga.
This commercially zoned site, adjacent to the existing Tauranga fire station, will accommodate a modernised facility, replacing the current station at 193-195 Cameron Road.
The main contractor will be responsible for the full construction of the new fire station, including:
• Site preparation and all associated works, including demolition and earthworks.
• Environmental remediation, including safe removal and disposal of asbestos and contaminated soil.
• Construction of the building, including all structural, civil, architectural, and associated building services and systems.
• External works, including soft and hard landscaping and associated infrastructure, including modifications to Cameron Rd.
• Health & Safety management throughout construction.
• Testing, commissioning, and handover of the completed facility, ensuring full operational readiness and including the rectification of any defects during the 12-month post-completion
period.
A full Schedule of Quantities will be provided to contractors, offering a detailed breakdown of project components, which will support accurate pricing, effective cost management, and clear
scope definition at RFP stage, to those that have been shortlisted from this ROI stage.
Please note questions will not be responded to via GETS from 22/12/25 to 05/01/26.
