This RFP is issued by Porirua City Council, referred to below as “the buyer” or “we” or “us.”
Porirua City Council require an experienced contractor to construct two (2) culvert replacements on Paekākāriki Hill Road. The location of the sites is outlined below.
•
34 Paekākāriki Hill Road (culvert ‘A’)
•
6 Paekākāriki Hill Road (culvert ‘B’)
Physical works for the culverts is to be split across two (2) financial years with the first being constructed in the 25/26 financial year, and the next completed in the 26/27 financial

Both sites present a high risk to road users due to their location under Paekākāriki Hill Road. The aim of this project is to replace both culverts with minimal disruption to the surrounding
area, maintain access for local businesses, schools and residents at all times, and ensure minimal impact to the surrounding environment and significant natural area (SNA) during
construction.
