REANNZ is establishing an AI Infrastructure Platform to accelerate discovery, innovation and growth across the New
Zealand Research, Innovation and Education sectors. To support this ambition REANNZ is seeking to procure a national
level GPU capability. This investment is critical for advancing research and education in New Zealand as modern scientific
and data-intensive disciplines are increasingly reliant on high-performance computing. This investment is at a scale, not
previously seen in New Zealand.
In releasing this RFI REANNZ is leveraging the collective strength of the sectors we support to provide infrastructure at a
scale not currently achievable by individual institutions. Recognizing this, the requirements in this RFI have been defined
with input from Universities and Public Research Organizations across New Zealand.
