Tiniroto Road - Hangaroa Bluffs Bypass (Новая Зеландия - Тендер #69061867)

The Hangaroa Bluffs section of Tiniroto Road has been an ongoing maintenance, resilience and risk issue for Gisborne District Council over decades. The extreme weather events over the last few years triggered a number of failures causing significant rockfall/overslips and underslip damage. The most notable of these events being Cyclone Gabrielle which struck the Gisborne Tairāwhiti region in February 2023, followed by a further rain event in June 2023.

GDC are seeking to procure the construction of the Tiniroto Road - Hangaroa Bluffs Bypass which is due to commence in December 2025. GDC requires a Contractor who has the expertise, experience and resources to construct the proposed Tiniroto Road - Hangaroa Bluffs Bypass within budget and programme. The Contract Works includes but is not limited to:
• The construction of approximately 1.8km of bypass road alignment away from the Hangaroa Bluffs
• The upgrade/rebuild of approximately 0.7km of the existing Tiniroto Road
• Construction of two new single lane bridges across the Hangaroa River - each being three-span bridges with twin steel girders made composite with a reinforced concrete deck, 91m in length and 4.5m wide between edge barriers, providing for a single lane of traffic.
• Construction of all civil structures (i.e retaining walls, culverts and box culverts), earthworks, pavement, surfacing, barriers, stormwater drainage, signage, road furniture, pavement markings, and miscellaneous ancillary works for the extent of the new road realignment, the existing road upgrade/rebuild and the new bridges.
• The location, protection and relocation of all existing services as required.
