Bay of Plenty Regional Council (BOPRC) invites tenders from suitably qualified construction contractors for Whakatāne Project Future Proof – Stage 3C (Mātaatua Reserve).
Scope of Works includes:

- Construction methodology to reinstate flood protection to required levels during forecast flood risk.
- Full compliance with the Contaminated Site Management Plan (CSMP) and resource consent conditions, including erosion and sediment control.
- Establishment of working areas, service protection, survey setout, temporary access, environmental controls, and traffic management.
- Protection and management of Pohutukawa trees.
- Stopbank works: topsoil stripping, certified fill placement in compacted lifts, shaping and compaction to design profile.
- Removal and reinstatement of cobblestone footpath.
- Topsoiling and site reinstatement.
- Public interface management to minimise disruption.
- Submission of as-built drawings and all required documentation for compliance.
