The team at New Zealand Government Procurement (NZGP) is running a survey for businesses to understand what you think of government procurement.

We’d like to hear from you about your experiences of procurement practices within New Zealand government. By completing the survey, your feedback could help us improve government procurement practices, making it easier to work with government.

Why should I participate?

Each year government agencies spend approximately $51.5 billion on a wide range of goods and services from businesses. Our aim is to ensure that government delivers value for all New Zealanders and working effectively with businesses is crucial to achieving this goal.

If your business currently supplies any government department, ministry, Crown entity, tertiary education institution or local authority, we want to hear from you.

After the survey closes, we will publish the findings, so you are able to see comparisons by type of business and sector.

How do I take part?

The survey is now open and closes on Wednesday 26 November 2025. It will take about 10 minutes to complete.

Is it confidential?

All responses are confidential and will be combined during analysis to produce a summary report. Individuals will not be identified. We recommend you avoid using information that may identify you and/or others. You may receive reminder emails encouraging you to complete the survey which you are welcome to forward on.
