The National Public Health Service, Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is pleased to invite applications for the next round of the Alcohol Harm Prevention Community Action Fund (CAF). The goal
of this fund is to empower communities to develop and deliver locally grounded, innovative solutions that address alcohol-related harm.
Available funding
Funding is available through two streams:
Stream 1 - Catalyst grants (up to $50,000 whole-of-life): For smaller-scale, creative or pilot projects to test innovative approaches and for organisations to establish collaboration
opportunities.
Stream 2 - Larger quantum contracts (up to $150,000 whole-of-life): For established community organisations with a track record in alcohol harm prevention.
Note: organisations can apply once for both streams
What are we looking for?
To apply, you must be a non-profit or charitable organisations which includes non-government organisations, Charitable Trusts, Marae Trustees and Iwi, or community organisations (incorporated

previously funded projects will not be considered.
We welcome initiatives that not only support the development of community-led interventions but will also build the capacity and capability of organisations working at the grassroot levels,
including:
Alcohol harm prevention initiatives that empower communities to take preventative action and address the root causes of alcohol misuse.
Local solutions that are grounded in the community and actively work with communities.
Initiatives that strengthen community capacity, confidence and capability.
Initiatives that encourage community collaboration.
Activities that focus on high-needs populations.
