Advance Notice: Physical Works for Package 2 of KCDC Speed Management Plan (Новая Зеландия - Тендер #67878899)

The Councils 2024–27 Low-Cost Low-Risk (LCLR) Minor Improvements Programme includes the delivery of Part B of the Speed Management Plan (2023–33) by June 2026, in accordance with the Land Transport Rule: Setting of Speed Limits 2024.

This procurement will seek to engage a suitably qualified contractor to deliver the physical works for Package 2 of the programme, which includes safety improvements along Elizabeth Street.

The project focuses on creating a safer and more accessible environment for all road users, aiming to reduce accident risks through targeted infrastructure improvements. Works include upgrading existing pedestrian crossings, constructing new flush and raised platform crossings, and footpath.

The successful contractor will demonstrate strong civil construction capability, effective stakeholder liaison skills, and an attitude aligned with Council’s expectations and community values.

The RFT is expected to be released within the next week.
