Enable New Zealand Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Health New Zealand – Te Whatu Ora, operating as a Crown entity. As a trusted steward of public investment, we operate under national
contracts and are recognised as a key partner within New Zealand’s health and disability system.
As part of our transformation journey, Enable New Zealand is modernising the technology systems that support our service delivery. This programme is focused on consolidating core systems and
streamlining processes to create a more efficient, connected and adaptable operating model, one that meets current needs and positions us for the future growth.
Our specialised service model supports people through the provision of equipment, housing and vehicle modifications, and related services. We manage a complex supply chain that includes
procurement, distribution and asset lifecycle management. A critical element of this is the management of high volumes of parts, this process enables efficient equipment utilisation, timely
availability, and continuity of service delivery.
Requests for service come from a variety of sources, including health professionals, funders, and service coordinators. Equipment is procured and dispatched through multiple channels, including
direct to client shipping and warehouse managed logistics. Uniquely, a significant proportion of equipment is returned after use, requiring robust processes for inspection, refurbishment, and
reissue.
This RFI is issued as part of our early market engagement. We are seeking input from suppliers to help us better understand the capabilities, innovations, and approaches available on the market
that could support our transformation goals. This RFI is not a Notice of Procurement and will not be used to select or shortlist suppliers.
We invite feedback, ideas, and insights that will inform our planning and shape our future procurement processes. Your responses will help us refine our requirements, assess feasibility, and
identify potential delivery models.
