TRC Public Transport Project New Website (Новая Зеландия - Тендер #65480667)

Taranaki Regional Council (TRC) is seeking proposals from experienced and capable digital vendors to design and build a new public transport website that will transform how people across the region plan, access, and engage with public transport services.

We’re creating a modern, user-friendly, and mobile-responsive website that reflects our refreshed public transport brand and better meets the needs of current and future passengers. The new site must be intuitive and accessible for a wide range of users, including those with disabilities and deliver key features such as service information, real-time alerts, route maps and fare and ticketing details.

The successful vendor will work closely with TRC to integrate a proven, off-the-shelf journey planning solution and ensure the website is designed with scalability in mind, with the potential to expand functionality over time.

Key objectives include:

• A strong customer focus, with a seamless, easy-to-navigate experience across devices
• Clear, branded content that supports wayfinding and customer confidence
• Robust backend functionality allowing timely updates and alerting
• WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility compliance
• Alignment with TRC’s values and regional identity

We welcome proposals from vendors who can demonstrate strong UX and UI expertise, technical capability, and a track record of delivering public-facing websites for government, local authorities, or transport agencies. Collaboration, creativity, and an understanding of public transport users" needs will be key to success.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to present their approach, with virtual attendance available for those outside the region.
