Nelson City Council (we, us, our, Council, NCC) is seeking an experienced and capable contractor to deliver vegetation control along the city’s road corridors using mechanical, handheld and
chemical methods. This is a critical contract for Nelson City Council that contributes towards our objective of a safe, cost-effective, and efficient transport network. The contract is key to
maintaining Nelson City Council’s reputation by managing vegetation along the road corridor and adjacent to neighbouring private property.
The contract is currently delivered by Nelmac Limited, a Council Controlled Trading Organisation (CCO). Nelson City Council is seeking to competitively tender the contract by issuing this
Request for Proposal (RFP) and genuinely welcomes proposals from experienced and capable contractors that may be able to demonstrate innovative and efficient work practices and can clearly
demonstrate they have what it takes to deliver what’s important to us, as outlined below.
This contract has a maximum contract term of ten years (5+3+2 years), subject to contractor performance and New Zealand Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) approval beyond the fifth year.
Further details on the form, duration and specific terms and conditions of contract are outlined in the RFP documents.
