This Notice of Information (NOI) is intended to all Contractors that are pre-qualified to NZTA Levels 3B Bridge Construction and 4B Construction and are willing to operate in the Waikato/Coromandel area.

We invite you to review the attachment to the NOI and provide your feedback on the proposed procurement model for the SH25 Pepe Stream Bridge project, based on the information currently available. Particularly, we are interested to know if you will be interested in participating in the upcoming tender under the proposed Design & Construct model, and what can we do to make this procurement more attractive if you decide not to participate.

This NOI provides project information ahead of the tender which will be advertised separately. This notice is provided as an early indication only of the project scope and will not form part of any future tender documents or contract documents.

NZTA wishes to procure a contractor to develop the design and construct the bridge. We expect construction to start on the new bridge by 1 October 2026, and open for travel before 10 December 2027.

The SH25 Pepe Stream Bridge Replacement comprise:
- Detailed Design for a new 2-lane bridge and upgrades to the Pepe Road intersection to accommodate the additional bridge lane
- All statutory approval to be obtained by the Contractor
- Construction of the 2-lane bridge, shared path, approaches and intersection upgrade.
