This is an Advance Notice that the Ministry intends to release a Registration of Interest (ROI) on GETS during April 2023.
The Ministry of Education (the Ministry) (the Buyer) will be seeking Registrations from suitable suppliers who have the evidenced specialist technical expertise and detailed understanding of
the landscape of sustainability and carbon abatement to assist with carbon emission reporting, emissions reduction and adaptation planning
The Ministry is looking for suppliers who are industry leaders, who are comfortable in challenging the status quo and can assist the Ministry in making meaningful, impactful change, whilst
balancing the delivery of quality learning outcomes for ākonga. The Ministry needs supplier/s who can respect our unique circumstances and be driven by a belief that positive change is always
possible.
Schools are central to communities, hapū and iwi, and provide an essential place of connection for ākonga and whānau. When exploring emission reduction opportunities and adaptation pathways
it is crucial to understand the nature of the ecosystem in which schools operate and who can play a role in the success of those plans. It is vital that suppliers have experience working in a
similarly multifaceted environment and are able to be flexible and adaptable in their approach to working with internal and external stakeholders, whilst remaining innovative and creative in
solution design.
In addition to the stakeholders involved in a school ecosystem it is important suppliers understand the natural environment and the diverse characteristics of the individual regions across the
country, and the challenges and opportunities this presents to carbon abatement and adaptation pathways across the entire emissions spectrum.
