• Dowa District Council has funds in its 2022/2023 budget under Governance to Enable Service Delivery (GESD) projects and it is intended that part of the proceeds of these funds be applied to eligible payments under the works contracts for Construction of 30 Ton Concrete Deck Bridges; Health Facilities and Police Units in various Traditional Authorities in Dowa District, as shown below;

• Bidding will be conducted through Open tender (NCB) using Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulation for IPF Borrowers” dated November, 2020 (Procurement Regulation) is open to all bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulation.

• Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below from 08:00 am to 4:00 pm local time from Monday to Friday. (Except on Public holidays and Weekends).

• Bids must be valid for 120 Days after Bid opening and must be accompanied by a Bid Securing Declaration.

• Bidding document in English language may be purchased by interested bidders at Dowa District Council upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of MK20, 000.00 (Twenty Thousand Kwacha only)

• Bids must be delivered at Dowa District Council by 23st November 2022 at 14:00HRS in a tender box placed at the reception. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will publicly be opened in presence of bidders who choose to attend on 23rd November 2022 at Dowa District Council Chamber from 14:00HRS.
